Sometimes I think to myself.. ‘do people actually mean what they say to the person they like or is it just a routine?’

For example, the person like tells you that they’ve never felt ever more comfortable with you than anyone else for a very long time, as far as they can remember. At this point in time you believe every letter, syllable and word that they said as it’s simply too good to think otherwise and because this point in time, they’ve not done anything you know that affected your trust in what they say. 

But then having believed this and falling ever so deeply for them because of these words, thinking your efforts and perseverance made an impact into making them feel cared for, looked after and comfortable in your presence.. you then find out something that puts your mind at an uneasy state. You find something about them not a while back, 5 months for example, that they have also used the same:

‘they’ve never felt ever more comfortable with you than anyone else for a very long time, as far as they can remember’ 

line to another person they’ve had feelings for just recently. Questions then flood  your head making you think.. 5 months is a long time? exactly the same quote/phrase/meaning that made you fall for them used? Is everything you told about why you have feelings for me exactly the same line you used for everyone else you liked? 

Don’t get me wrong, obviously the trust is still there as nothing is proven.. maybe it was mere coincidence that they’ve felt like that for you and the other person, but then raises the question.. ‘So, you’ve already forgotten/disregarded the way the other person made you feel before me.. having only just said the same thing to him/her 5months ago?’ 

Then get you thinking.. is this a constant loop for their relationships? Once its finished, its been put aside or left behind completely without any recollection of the memories and the times they made them feel comfortable, loved and cared for? If this is the case.. ask yourself, did they mean what they said to you, to get you to fall for them and trust them or are you JUST another one of their collection where they got their routine lines.. I meant lies to work?
